We learn the circumstances that often lead to people experiencing homelessness. Alix talks with Colleena Carlisle, the Executive Director of Dakota Woodlands, a homeless shelter in Eagan Minnesota, just outside of the Twin Cities. At the time of the recording, SNAP benefits, which offer food to low-income families, were being restored, after being halted due to the Federal Government shutdown.
