Dr. Goggins, surgical director of IU Health’s kidney transplant program, leads one of the nation’s top programs, performing over 250 transplants annually. With expertise in complex cases, he’s completed over 3,000 kidney transplants, including a groundbreaking procedure in 2024 using warm normothermic preservation, a national first. A professor at Indiana University School of Medicine, he’s been recognized by the Indiana Donor Network and National Kidney Foundation. Mary Taber, a clinical transplant coordinator at IU Health, has been a vital part of the transplant team since 2015, bringing her experience from medical/surgical nursing to support post-kidney transplant patients.
