With expertise in complex cases, he’s completed over 3,000 kidney transplants, including a groundbreaking procedure in 2024 using warm normothermic preservation, a national first. A professor at Indiana University School of Medicine, he’s been recognized by the Indiana Donor Network and National Kidney Foundation. Mary Taber, a clinical transplant coordinator at IU Health, has been a vital part of the transplant team since 2015, bringing her experience from medical/surgical nursing to support post-kidney transplant patients.
