From a home on the Madeira archipelago, Li-Polymer been a regular on the underground dance industry's imprints for over a decade through music signed to the likes of Balkan Connection, Lowbit and Juicebox Music. A 2014 debut for Particles saw a remix of Matt Rowan followed by a series of original releases on the label's seasonal compilation series before May 2017's "Crystal Serenity" marked a notable highlight. Returning with another twin-track original offering, "Jacaranda" is a rich flowing piece that blossoms through its delicate melodic phrasing that drifts in sultry fashion while a sumptuous delayed motif and uptempo arp add counterpoint joy. A deep kick and light percussive vibe trip across the 9-minute piece with ease in a joyous offering. At over 10-minutes, "All Together We Are More" is redolent in opulent soundscapes that hold sway over muted kick and hi-hat pattern. Evolving gently through subtle melodic variation, textured pads drift across the track as a swathe of phrases entwine before a delayed motif makes its play in the third movement. The result is a compelling piece from the Portuguese artist.

Fresh from remixes of their outstanding "Stoyote" EP on Proton Music, the relatively new musical partnership of LADS & Traumhouse find themselves making their Particles debut. Regulars on such esteemed labels as Rebellion der Tarumer, Nie Wieder Schlafen and Guy J's Lost & Found, the LADS partnership has grown in stature over the past 18 months. Regulars on Proton Music with an array of original music, "Stoyote" was another landmark moment in 2020 which included a collaboration from Traumhouse. Joining forces with the German artist who has featured on the likes of Magician On Duty, A Must Have and Manual Music, the LADS & Traumhouse reworking of "Jacaranda" is a sumptuous offering that revels in low-slung groove and filtered percussive roll. Characterised by a dark and gritty groove with its roots in the original, intelligent use of remix components from the Li-Polymer track blend seamlessly with a swathe of original material from the production trio. The result is a stunning remix that hits its stride in the second half with detuned synth motifs and cascading sonic tapestry.

Another Proton Music regular, Hot TuneiK has created a stir with a new organic sound that witnessed the birth of his "Heightened Senses" EP in February 2020. With Vol. 2 on the horizon in 2021, the Mexican's unique sound has been a favourite on a growing number of labels that include the likes of Balkan Connection, 3rd Avenue and Visceral. Finding an array of releases on Particles that include 2017's "Erase & Rewind" and 2018's "Tulum", Hot TuneiK now returns to the label for the first time since an August 2020 remix of Vidno. Reworking "Jacaranda", the melodic subtlety of the original is retained while a purposeful rhythmic backdrop provides a unique new direction through tape delays and percussive edge. Hitting its stride with an array of new production material that includes a meandering lead synth line and pulsating bassline in the second half, Hot TuneiK showcases talent in abundance.

As Li-Polymer's craftsmanship comes to the fore once more, "Jacaranda" blossoms alongside remixes from LADS, Traumhouse and Hot TuneiK.
