Alice Min Soo Chun is the Founder and CEO of Solight Design, and the inventor of the Solarpuff - the world’s only self-inflatable, portable, solar light. Alice studied architecture at Penn State before going on to earn her Masters in Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. While teaching at Columbia University, she learnt that her son Quinn had been diagnosed with asthma, which heightened her interest in clean energy and led her to experiment origami-inspired solar light designs and prototypes. Since then, she hasn’t looked back.
