Today’s word of the day is include.

Include is a doing word therefore it is a verb.

Include has three meanings. Firstly it is to compromise or contain as part of a whole. Secondly it is to make part of a whole or set. Lastly it is to allow someone or something to share in an activity or privilege.

An example of the word include used in a sentence would be:

The report doesn't include the performance data from three years ago or beyond.

I want to include this piece of art in the exhibition.

Or, She makes sure to include everyone in the activities so no one feels left out.

Synonyms: incorporate, encompass, involve, insert, count.

Antonyms: exclude, omit, ban, remove, dismiss.
