Today’s word of the day is facilitate.

Facilitate is a doing word therefore it is a verb.

To facilitate is to make an action easier or to create an environment which makes a particular action or actions easier to perform.

An example of the word facilitate used in a sentence would be:

The different campuses were built in a circle with the library in the centre, to facilitate ease of access to resources to all campuses.

Or, She designs workshops that facilitate team bonding through trust exercises.

Synonyms: ease, smooth, enable, assist, aid.

Antonyms: impede, hinder, obstruct, block, discourage.
