Aplomb is self confidence or assurance. It usually used for demanding situations.

An example of aplomb used in a sentence would be:

She began the task with aplomb even though she had never done anything like this before.

Or, They're able to handle offence and defence with equal aplomb.

Synonyms: poise, assurance, composure, nerve, cool.

Antonyms: agitation, insecurity, perturbation, awkwardness, doubt.
