Welcome to Season Two of the Let’s Talk SIM podcast! In our first episode of the season, host Kyle Johnson, PhD, RN, CHSE, Associate Dean for Simulation & Associate Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing addresses the state of Advanced Practice Nursing (APRN) Simulation especially for simulationists pursuing a doctoral degree. Scholar and educator, Dr. Sarah L. Beebe, PhD, CNM, WHNP-BC, CHSE has devoted most of her current research to create hybrid simulated experiences to advance nursing simulation education. Dr. Beebe talks about the current state of healthcare simulation in APRN education, challenges and opportunities with simulation in APRN programs in contrast to pre-licensure programs, and where she foresees simulation making the biggest impact in APRN education.
