Join Emily as she sits down with Master’s Level Licensed Clinical Therapist and Board Certified Neurofeedback Clinician, Michela Parisi, as they discuss mental health through an integrative lens. Emily and Michela share a Master's level background in mental health which contributes to a robust conversation around the deficits in mental health care, the use of neurofeedback in the mental health space, neuroplasticity, trauma, the nervous system, and more.
Michela is the owner of three mental health businesses in Denver that integrate neurofeedback and counseling to offer clients a well rounded, integrative approach to treating their mental health. She is passionate about educating clients on alternatives to medication to help reach their goals and achieve nervous system regulation. Clients who work with Michela see an average of 30-70% reduction in self reported symptom severity by the time their work is complete. Michela describes herself as warm, engaging and direct. She does not take a cookie cutter approach to counseling and instead believes in radical honesty to confront problematic thoughts and empower clients to take control of their lives. She and her team do this through education, exposure therapy and lots of consistency! As a seasoned therapy client herself, Michela knows what it takes to create change and how to guide clients in an effective, gentle and constructive way. In her spare time you will find her in Denver taking her dogs to the park, traveling back to her hometown near Lake Tahoe and spending time with her growing family.
Emily is a Certified Holistic Health Coach and a Certified Dietary Supplement Professional with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Emily is also a Functional Nutrition Expert through MindBodyGreen. Emily owns and operates Whole with Emily LLC, wherein she works with clients one on one within the space of holistic wellness, to support optimal physical and mental health. She believes that true health and feeling better means examining the intersection between physical and mental health and look at one's experience through this lens. Integration of nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management and self care, gut health, mindset and more is the formula for a better quality life. Emily marries mindset with behavioral change in order to create the ultimate mind body connection and promote sustained change and a healthful balance within her work with clients.
