Thanks to Adam Wise for connecting us!Here were some of the lessons I took away from Rob: Learn to trust commitments to yourself rather than relying on external promises - “Your idea is going to be perceived as silly until it's not. And then people flip their perception on it and it becomes inspiring.”Recognize the cyclical nature of confidence and doubt and attach to action rather than emotion - “If I'm feeling confident today, I don't get too comfortable because I know that there's a doubtful me in the future. And if I feel doubtful, then I don't sit in that either because I know there's a confident me coming down the road. I try to attach myself to the action of what I do rather than the emotion.”Be the most interested in your own creative project in order to get through the tough times - “There are times when no one pays attention to it. There are times when a lot of people pay attention to it… the most important thing is that I’m interested in it.”
