Lots of people think they can multi-task. If this is you, look back to the tasks you were doing at the same time. Did you truly concentrate on both? If you were cooking and listening to music, did you read the recipe and follow the lyrics fully at the same time? The answer is likely to be no. Our brains, while amazing in many aspects, can only truly concentrate fully on one thing at a time. To my kids, and all of you, if a task is important (school work, project at your job, driving or something dangerous), then please put down the phone, turn off the tv/radio and focus.
