Listen "Privileged Yet in Need"
Episode Synopsis
The Jewish people were privileged and given priority in so many ways. God birthed the nation. They were brought forth by God from the barren wombs of Sarah and Rebekah. They were led by God out of Egypt. They had seen His power and might and grace. Even more than this, they had been given His Word. God had spoken to the nation and given them His Word on tablets of stone. They received so many privileges and so many blessings. Instead of these great privileges leading them to the feet of Jesus, they became a basis of defense against their need of salvation. We are not immune from this same mentality. We, too, have been given privileges. Not in the same way as Israel, but privileges, nonetheless. All the privileges that God has given, without salvation through faith in Christ, will not save us, but ultimately rise up against us on the last day and pronounce us guilty. I pray that you will join us this weekend as we continue our study in Romans. This weekend we will also have the privilege of participating in communion. Weekend worship is a Friday decision. Make the decision now to be part of God’s people as we gather around His Word and sing His praises.
