Listen "Leaning into Coaching with Jon Torine"
Episode Synopsis
Send us a textThis episode features Jon Torine. As a coach and founder of Lean In Coaching, Jon believes we can transform the sports experience so that we may grow and develop virtuous leaders who are a force for good. His coaching career in the National Football League started when the Buffalo Bills named him assistant strength and conditioning coach. Three years later, the Indianapolis Colts made Jon their head strength and conditioning coach, the youngest ever to be hired in that role in the NFL. His tenure with the Colts is highlighted by a Super Bowl championship but he considers the relationships developed along the way as the larger prize. Following his seventeen years in the NFL, Jon became Director of Pro/Elite Sports for EXOS where his role was specifically dedicated to the NFL Players Trust Program supporting former players in the transition to the next chapter of their lives. He has recently been appointed as an educator within the Sports Safety Program run by the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City working to keep young athletes physically and emotionally healthy.
