In this episode, we sit down with guest Molly Barari and discuss her work as a freelance writer, creative writing educator, and her work at Vitalant. Molly is originally from Kearney, NE, but has called Rapid City home since 2008. As a freelance writer and teacher, Molly keeps people’s stories at the center of her work. She teaches creative writing classes for adults through Community Education of the Black Hills and the South Dakota Humanities Council. Molly specializes in life-writing classes, helping people share their life stories. She talks with us about her love of learning people’s unique life stories, and the power of putting pen to paper. In 2021, Molly plans to graduate with her doctorate in Adult & Higher Education from the University of South Dakota.Molly is also a Donor Recruitment Representative at Vitalant, the local blood donation center. In this interview, Molly discusses what she loves about Vitalant's mission to help patients in need, and why she is passionate about educating the community on blood donation.
