A Gloucester County EMT has admitted to stealing cash from a patient while he was providing aid to her.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office says 44-year-old Antoni Simmons of Glassboro pleaded guilty to stealing $220 from the victim’s purse when he was dispatched to help her on April 30th in Newfield.
Surveillance video showed Simmons rummaging through the victim’s purse.
As part of the plea deal, he will serve one year of probation, forfeit his job with Gloucester County EMS and is barred from public employment in New Jersey.
