Listen "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow"
Episode Synopsis
Number 2, never show you know kung fu unless it is absolutely necessary. Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Pizza Party. With the Lunar New Year just a few days away, as we start the Year of the Snake, I have sat down to review the iconic Jackie Chan film Snake in the Eagle's Shadow. In this review, i go over a brief history of the early career of Jackie Chan including how important this film and the year 1978 was in his career. I also talk about how this film and Drunken Master establish a new blueprint that many martial art films still follow, including The Karate Kid. After reviewing the film proper, I talk about how one of the main quotes in this film resonates with me in my own matial artist identity.
