Established in August 2020, KRUNK KULTURE is a record label from the future by Krunk. This compilation features cutting edge electronic music producers from India and guests from countries like Nepal, Japan & the US. While maintaining its roots in tradition, this collection of work showcases the modern sounds of the region dabbling in styles ranging from house, techno, breaks, electro & leftfield.

FLAVOURS OF THE EAST is a tribute to the integral ingredients that continue to shape the identity and perspectives of our collective homeland. This is an investigation into the memories and markers of a culture that is bursting at the seams with what it has to say.

KAALA KHATTA translating literally into “black sour” indicates the colour and taste of this iconic Indian flavour that is a popular addition to a “gola”, an indian snow-cone, made with a manual ice crusher. A blend of Jamun (java plum) and lemons, it’s characteristic sweetness and tang is imprinted in many a memory.
