In this episode, Lawrence continues his conversation with Amelia Daiz, socially-engaged artist and creative facilitator. Amelia is a multidisciplinary creative, who has been involved in numerous varied projects throughout her career so far. She is a regular event-organiser at the Carousel, an artists’ studios and co-working creative space Nottingham, and has recently taken on the role of associate artist at Nottingham Contemporary.This time, they discuss the role of creative facilitator, and continue to explore the crucial part the arts can play in supporting mental wellbeing. They also cover the realities of life as a freelancer in the contemporary arts and question whether arts education adequately prepares students for creative careers.
