Listen "23 - Shepherd"
Episode Synopsis
Kirk Reflections 8th May 2022.
Rev. Erick du Toit brings our weekly reflections from Kirkliston Parish Church, Scotland.
Psalm 23: ever heard of it?
It is one of the best kent pieces of Scripture in the Bible.
Why is that? Why do even non-Christians know verses by heart? Are movie characters to blame as they quote though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death? Or could it be the fact we’ve heard it umpteen times at funerals…
Why this fascination with a Psalm consisting of merely 6 verses? Could it be, could it be… that we long for this metaphor of a Shepherd taking care of us and OUR every need to be TRUE?
Today we explore the theme of being rooted in the Shepherd’s LOVE.
