Episode Synopsis
Dr Pim Teunissen is Scientific Director of SHE, the School of Health Professions Education at Maastricht University in The Netherlands. His background is as a medical specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and he uses his clinical experience to inform his research and vice versa. In 2009 he obtained his doctorate from VU University on the subject of 'Workplace learning in postgraduate medical education'. Since then, his research has expanded to cover learning and education in various health professions in undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development domains. He is passionate about understanding how healthcare professionals learn through their work because it provides the key to ensuring excellent healthcare now and in the future.
