David Foster Wallace would once popularly state, " There is no such thing as not worshipping. Everybody worships. The only choice we get is what to worship" So then, what does it mean then to worship? Contrary to what many may think, worship is not a genre of music ( although it can include singing), worship is a lifestyle of orienting around someone or something.. The origin of the word worship is similar to the word worth. If so, to worship Jesus then is the act of ascribing worth, value and devotion to the Lord in response to our revelation of all that He is and all that He has done.Over the next few weeks, we will spending time in the Scriptures looking at the heart of worship and our prayer is that as we continue to make Jesus the object of our worship, that we will be transformed by His Spirit and filled afresh to begin to reflect God’s glory in the world.Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for you created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created". - Revelation 4:11 NASB 1995.
