But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9 Do you know who you are? Comparison is the very thing that keeps us away from who God created us to be. We spend so much time craving the life we want that it causes us to idolize other people, where we want to be and who we want to be instead of being content where the Lord has us. Comparison will leave you feeling insecure, unhappy and empty — all spiritual attacks to hinder you from all that God has put within you. I challenge you to stand on the Word of God and what it says about you this week & learn that you are chosen, you are dearly loved, you are God’s masterpiece, you are fearfully and wonderfully made and Jesus created you to be who you are. So be confident in what He called you to be, not who you think you should be or who someone else is. Your identity is in Christ Jesus and we miss out on the very thing that God wants for us because we get stuck in who and what we want to be or what the world tells us we should be. I pray that this blesses you and encouraged you to discover the purpose that God has for you and become all that He’s created you to be. May the Lord bless you and keep you.
