Starting his own metro trucking business in the highly competitive scene that was early 80s Auckland, he had all the key components required to make a go of it – smarts, savvy, a huge work ethic, and several hundred-weight of cheek. It's been a muddy autumn in the forest, there's a new configuration, thankfully no wild animals, and he's about to join a Scania Roadshow for a couple of weeks demonstrating alternatively propelled heavy trucks.
