When I was first in business it was all about working on your weaknesses but what you need to do is outsource the things you are not good at and focus on the things you are good at. Work on your strengths and get better. You can run more than one business successfully but not if you have the mindset of having to be able to do everything yourself. For a long time, I thought I needed to know everything but as a business, it's not realistic and for the individual, it's not achievable. Understanding that its ok to ask for advice is vital if you want to be successful in business. Entrepreneurs can become stuck because they believe they have to follow certain pathways We are conditioned to think about putting things into particular boxes but this can stop progression and development. As entrepreneurs failing is part of the learning process and finding the right thing. You have to develop the right skillset and be able to implement it effectively. You cannot be successful in business if you have a self-sabotaging mindset, you must look to change internally instead of looking for the answer externally. Business is a learning process and it's ok to make mistakes and mess it up, it doesn't mean you've failed it means you are learning. BEST MOMENTS ‘I began to look into being self-employed because I needed the flexibility' ‘You can't run a successful business if your mindset is that you have to be able to do everything' ‘For a long period of time, I was able to earn money but my lack of self-worth massively impacted on my ability to be ultimately successful' VALUABLE RESOURCES Keeping it Real with Khadija Podcast Women Rockin Business Podcast Next Step Aim High Community Facebook ABOUT THE HOST Keep it real with Khadija is an interview-based podcast hosted by Khadija Kalifa.
