Listen "Kamelah's Story: Mimi's Fresh Tees"
Episode Synopsis
As the vice president of racial equity and inclusion at a school in Portland, Kamelah was the voice against racism and bigotry for BIPOC children and their families. But she often found herself trying to convince others why racial equity and inclusion were vital in the education system. "I was just exhausted just speaking my truth and trying to get people to understand why this mattered," Kamelah says. That's when Kamelah decided she should wear her truth as well. Listen as Kamelah shares how she began a business that took a different approach to social justice and women empowerment, Mimi's Fresh Tees.
