The Israel Democracy Institute has released its 2025 Statistical Report on the ultra-Orthodox. Amongst the key findings : the ultra-Orthodox society is one of the youngest in the world; although 33% of ultra-Orthodox families live below the poverty line, 75% own an apartment—a rate higher than that of the general population; and the majority of those counted as ultra-Orthodox in the IDF are not really ultra-Orthodox or have since left the Haredi community.
