Hey Karla, today's episode is about the tragic school shooting that took place in Oxford, MI, one state away from where we live. While many are grieving the loss of 4 Oxford High School students (Tate Myre, Madisyn Baldwin, Hana St. Juliana, and Justin Shilling) others are blaming the presumed bullies of the shooter (Ethan Crumbley). At the time of this recording we didn't have many details surrounding the case, but since then we've discovered that school officials had met with Crumbley the day before the shooting for "concerning behavior," and met with Crumbley AND his parents for a separate issue just hours prior to the shooting. It has been revealed that the shooting was premeditated (journal and video on cell phone) and Crumbley's father had just purchased the gun a few days before the shooting. On this episode we also talk about teaching our children how to deal with bullies, and we address the frankly stupid comments people made on the issue of bullying.
