Bright Dog Red is making it up as they go. Literally. Bright Dog Red is a collective of adventurous musicians based in New York spearheaded by drummer, Joe Pignato, who perform and record all of their music through free improvisation. Although improvisation is at the center of Bright Dog Red, it’s not just jazz – you’ll also hear equal parts hip hop, electronica, psychedelia and noise influences as well. Bright Dog Red just released their new record, Somethin’ Comes Along, a 2 CD set that takes the listener on a journey through their spur-of-the-moment creativity.
