What does it mean when Jesus cautions us in his "Upside Down Kingdom" not to attach God's name to empty things (Matthew 5:33-37). As we learned in Sunday's Gathering, it's easy--and tempting--to invoke God when express our own opinions and desires. Phrases like "I have a word for you," "God told me" and "we are being led" can become tools of religious power and manipulation. Where does that leave us, though, when we really do have visions and hear God's voice? Mike Erre, Suzie Lind and Tim Timmons share some of their own experiences as they explore these questions.
