In our busy, distraction-filled world, it's easy to push God down our priority list. When we make good things like family, career, or hobbies into ultimate things, they become idols that leave us constantly striving but never satisfied. The prophet Haggai warned about this pattern - working hard but never getting ahead, accumulating more but never feeling fulfilled. To put God back in His rightful place, we need to prioritize four key areas: reading Scripture, worship and prayer; building godly community; generous giving; and active service. The challenge is to give God our best 12 hours out of our weekly 119 waking hours, not just our leftovers. When we seek God first, everything else in our lives can fall into proper alignment.
