Well met and welcome to the Journey Begun in Scripture podcast! I am your host, Theodore Jander. In episode 30, I mentioned making an adjustment to my original content schedule for this week’s release and that the reason would be made clear in episode 32, which is this installment. I am also flipping the format, meaning we will start with the devotional followed by the litany. One aspect of the monthly litany and devotional pairings I have written is the incorporation of a true story from a family member or friend relating to the verse on which the devotional material is focused. The story included in this episode’s writing is my own. However, when I originally wrote the devotion back in the fall of 2020, I only alluded to a very significant life-changing event. For this installment, I am going to share more about that day, Tuesday, October 15, 2019, as part of the devotional as well as it being a beneficial gesture of my healing process. Thus, the reason for making the aforementioned adjustment as this episode is being released on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, five years later.
Sit back and relax as you take this time to dwell in God’s presence as we begin with the devotional, “Find Refuge, Strength, and Help”  with the focus verse being Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
