She began her career as an eighth-grade language arts teacher and then served as a middle school curriculum and literacy coordinator. Her interests include writing and grammar instruction, discourse and teacher learning, and teaching English from a social justice perspective.Dr. Michael DiCicco is an Associate Professor of Literacy Education at Northern Kentucky University. A former middle school teacher. Dr. DiCicco has been an educator for 16 years.
