Listen "Things I've Learned in 2019"
Episode Synopsis
I've done 19 episodes this year on our podcast, great way to end the year! Uncut, unfiltered thoughts, Just wanted to share my thoughts on what I've learned over the past year
1. The relationship you prioritise 1st in your life will carry the most influence on your future. Who’s first in your life?
2. What is killing people today is how busy they are. We must ruthlessly eliminate hurry. Pause. Think. Live. Don’t rush. Patience pays off. The clarity in thought means clarity in life.
3. Who am I living to impress? I had to countlessly ask myself this question. When I tried to do everything and anything, I burnt myself out.
4. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.
5. Living like Jesus means abiding in the Father. Hear your instructions for the day and move with his spirit. Not your mind.
6. Knowing God and experiencing God is two different things. Learning means nothing if you’re not able to demonstrate it.
7. To be successful, means you have a great attitude whilst remaining teachable.
8. It’s ok not to know something. Just admit it rather than beating around the bush.
9. Pay attention to the signs.
10. Love people more without an agenda.
11. You don’t have to reply to every comment and backlash. You’re not living for them.
12. Ask intelligent questions and talk less. In a conversation, talk less about yourself and genuinely learn about the person you're talking to. Tailor your experience and adapt to them.
13. God does not speak to you about people you dislike.
14. Hearing God and acting on what he says, can literally shift your life in moments. This comes out from intimacy. God is always speaking. We’re just not listening.
15. Believe God for crazy things. What do you have to lose?
16. Take criticism as valuable feedback. Feedback is a way people actually care about you. If you feel attacked, it could be your ego.
17. Pride is real and it’s subtle. Pride surfaces daily. Deal with pride by having people around you that call it out
18. Don’t assume things. The devil is working with your assumption. Waste of time.
19. Stop defending yourself or interrupting a conversation because you have something to say. Listen to understand, don’t listen to reply.
