Send us a textWe focus so much on being born again, and that’s great, but we miss the focus on the other part, which is that the old us already died.  The book of Galatians actually says that we were crucified with Christ. “I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer that I that live, but Christ liveth in me: and that life, which I now live in the flesh, I live in faith.” That's why Paul is also able to say “if anyone is in Christ, he's a new creation. The old is gone, the new has come.” The person you are now is literally a different person than the person you used to be.  That other person that was somebody else who did all those other things: who hurt those people, who lied, who cheated, who stole, who did all those things that we're all ashamed of having done.   Support the show
