God said, that whenever He sends His word forth, it accomplishes the very thing He set it out to accomplish (Isaiah 55:11). When Jesus walked the Earth, part of His plan was to teach the disciples (so that we would know) about the Kingdom of Heaven and how they would have His authority to bind on earth what is bound in Heaven and loose on Earth what has been loosed in Heaven (Matthew 16:19). In Mark 11, Jesus shows us how powerful His spoken word is. He simply speaks to a fig tree and the tree responds. He encourages us that the we carry His authority to speak to, and to move mountains.
