I absolutely believe the scripture (Proverbs 13:24) He that spareth his rod hateth his son:  but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.  But only when it's called for.
Hebrews 1:14 - Are not all the angels ministering spirits sent out [by God] to serve (accompany, protect) those who will inherit salvation?  [Of course they are!]
*Summer 2022 my oldest nephew of the 3 dozed-off in a floating swim tube and floated all the way to the deep-end of the pool and when he awoke and realized he was in the deep-end of the pool he panicked and began to sink, and 2 lifeguards had to jump-in and save him, he was so Thankful to them,  All I can say is, "Thank you Jesus Christ for rescuing him and being his lifeguard".
If you make the Lord Jesus Christ your Habitation: Psalms 91:11-12 - ... for he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.  They will hold you up with their hands so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone.
