This season’s MVP award was given to Nikola Jokic, making it now his 3rd MVP award, with him winning the award in 3 of the last 4 years. This win however, was controversial considering who all was in the conversation for the award
Those players being Anthony Edwards, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis Antetokoumpo, Jayson Tatum, Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic himself
ALL of these players listed had VERY strong cases for winning MVP this season, but ultimately the award can only be given to 1 player. Therefore, let’s look at each of the players’ cases for MVP including the winner himself, Nikola Jokic and evaluate whether or not, the award was given to the right player.
