Mediation has long been recognised as a tool that can be used to resolve low-level ASB issues and neighbour disputes. Practitioners recognise that getting parties to talk to each other, understand a different point of view, and decide a joint way of living together, can be incredibly effective for nipping disputes in the bud.  So why is it that rates of referrals have reduced over the years?
