Jessica Bone is what I like to call a gateway nerd: someone with their finger on the pulse of the nerd world, who is always happy to share her knowledge adn excitement. Friends from the once robust Sweeney Todd Broadway revival livejournal fandom, Jessica and I reunite over our love of Stormpilot and come to terms with enjoying the prequels. She also discusses what it's like to be a woman in nerd spaces, her struggle to destigmatize fanfiction, and explores the internalized misogyny that made her dislike Padme.  The Star Wars fandom is in a bit of a state these days, and Jessica brings up excellent points on how to enjoy a fandom when the fandom is no longer enjoyable.
