Listen "25. Stop Over-Apologizing"
Episode Synopsis
Saying “sorry” when you actually mean, “excuse me”. Prefacing a question with an apology. Apologizing to service providers who have messed up your order as if you are an inconvenience. Sound familiar? For many of us women, this will. At best, many of us use “sorry” an unintentional filler word, and at worst, we over-apologize because of a deep-seated desire to shrink themselves. Over-apologizing can seem like an innocuous turn of phrase but it is often rooted in people pleasing and self-minimization. This ends today! In this episode I detail 3 steps to help you stop over-apologizing immediately: noticing, questioning and adjusting.
