سابقه مصورسازی کتاب در ایران قطعا به دوران پیش از اسلام بازمی‌گردد اما قدیمی‌ترین کتب مصور ایرانی موجود مربوط به عهد سلجوقیان است که با مطالعه تصاویر آنها می‌توان به تداوم شیوه‌های تصویری قبل از اسلام و پیوند ناگسستنی نگارگری و ادبیات در تاریخ هنر ایران پی برد. در مجموعه اپیزودهای《همگامی نقاشی و ادبیات》 در پادکست ایرانشهر قصد داریم به بررسی نگارگری کتب تعدادی از شاعران ایران و به طور کلی ارتباط نقاشی و ادبیات بپردازیم. به مناسبت یکم اردیبهشت، روز بزرگداشت سعدی، سی و ششمین اپیزود پادکست ایرانشهر با حضور کیانوش معتقدی، پژوهشگر هنر ایران به بررسی نگارگری نسخ مختلف کلیات سعدی، ویژگی‌های آنها و تفاوت نگاره‌ها با کتب سایر شعرای ایرانی اختصاص داده شده است.
