RICHARD CAPRIOLA

RICHARD CAPRIOLA, a mental health and addictions counselor from Texas, stopped by to discuss his latest release, "The Addicted Child - A Parent's Guide to Adolescent Substance Abuse".

From His BIO:

"Richard Capriola spent 11 years working as an addictions counselor for Menninger Clinic in Houston Texas before retiring in 2019. Menninger Clinic is one of the top ten psychiatric hospitals in the United States and specializes in the assessment, stabilization and treatment of adults and adolescents with substance abuse and psychiatric disorders. During his tenure there he worked in the Adolescent Treatment program and the adult Comprehensive Psychiatric Assessment and Stabilization program. Working closelywith psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and nurses he was responsible for comprehensive assessments and individual and group counseling with patients diagnosed with substance use disorders."

DANIEL HESS

DANIEL HESS, a filmmaker, author, and veteran of 5,000 weddings as a photographer, joined us to discuss his career as a wedding photographer, his recently released book of poetry, and his first scripted movie.

From his BIO:

"Growing up the thing that really changed and defined much of my childhood was losing my best friend when I was 10 years old to Cystic Fibrosis. From that point forward a creative spark lit inside me that I really wouldn't get in touch with until college when my friend convinced me at the last second to change my major over to film. After that I stuck with film and video sometimes to a stubborn extent in my career. I started my own business at age 19 and I've been at it ever since. 

My writing side never truly went away and was reignited after many years of battling depression especially in the tedium of wedding videography. To start off 2021 I collected 5 years worth of poetry in a collection which I just self published mid-January."
