Listen "S1 E1 - Identity"
Episode Synopsis
Huwayda and Karina sit down with special guest Abarna Selvarajah (close friend and Tamil Eelam activist) to discuss notions of identity as they relate to intersectionality. The ladies touch on human rights, self-identification, institutionalized racism, and more. The term "intersectionality" was coined by American civil rights scholar, Kimberlé Crenshaw. It is not limited to identity and extends to a variety of systemic barriers encountered by women of colour.
