She is also the author of the book The What IF? Diet Plan. As a teenager, Alexis was morbidly obese at over 250 pounds. One day she skipped breakfast and felt great. She continued this secretly, and lost 40 pounds. But once in college, Alexis returned to eating all day and gained the weight back. It was then that she gave up: "I decided to accept my size," Alexis reflects. In February of 2018, Alexis found herself at over 200 pounds again. She stumbled upon the documentary The Science of Fasting and then the Intermittent Fasting Podcast. She had rediscovered IF! Alexis gradually eased into the lifestyle, and kept a journal as she did. Her journal became a blog, which then became her book. Alexis is no longer consumed with food. She has lost between 30-40 pounds and feels amazing. Alexis’ advice: “Start where you’re at, not where you think you should be. Try to do IF with love. IF is a tool of the mind and the body. Put the scale away for the first month. There is hope!” You may find Alexis at: www.thewhatifdietplan.com Get Gin’s books at http://www.ginstephens.com/get-the-books.html, including Cleanish and New York Times Bestseller, Fast. Feast.
