Listen "#72 Emergency room reflections"
Episode Synopsis
Today I wanted to get a little vunerable and discuss the stories of growing up in an entrepreneurs family when it isn't going right. We had a bit of a scare and I had to bring my wife to the emergency room. Quite a bit happened and it brought back some feelings and memories. I wanted to share today because it reminded me of times and things from my past that may help you gain perspective. You see we had someone pass at the ER and it triggered the memories of my step-dad passing. It reminded me of some of the failures that were exposed upon his death. These are things that could easily have been rectified and planned for. If you own a business or have a family there are mission critical contingencies that you need to have in place. The cost compared to the protection you provide is minimal. While I will not write out the specific policies and financial plans here (Thanks SEC!) please consult a competent financial advisor to discuss. *I do review these processes with my consulting clients* I hope this episode gives you pause. More importantly I hope it makes you take action. It only takes an hour to ensure your legacy is preserved. While it takes a little longer to do so for your business it is also a worthy venture.
