The last few years we've seen a huge cross over from photography to cinematography, with many adopting the ultra soft light look. Nothing wrong with soft light at all, give me a 12x12 of magic cloth with a grid all day! However, there are instances where balancing between having both hard and soft light has created a new paradigm shift away from your traditional soft source lighting. Today I wanted to talk about how i've been incorporating both types of light and how you might find it beneficial as well.
