Episode Synopsis

Have you ever sat in a lunchroom feeling invisible… watching tables full of friends while you wander or hide? And deeper still… do you ever feel like you’re looking for a place where you truly belong? That’s the heart of today’s conversation. We all remember how simple it seemed in childhood. If a student sat alone, a teacher or classmate might gently guide them to a seat with others. Problem solved. But as we grow older, the ache of isolation deepens.Recently, I came across a string of raw, honest reflections from high schoolers navigating lunchtime alone. Their words were heartbreaking: full of loneliness, fear of judgment, and the longing to belong. Whether it’s your child, someone you know, or even a memory from your own story… the pain is real. But so is the hope.Scripture (NIV):Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household. (Ephesians 2:19)💬 Want to talk about it more? When you felt like you didn’t belong, what did you wish someone had done? And… how does knowing Jesus invites you change the way you view your place at the table?Let’s talk about how we respond—to exclusion, to belonging, and to the One who invites us in. 👉 Join the conversation in the InSight Out Community on Facebook📩 Stay connected:Get encouragement, reflections, behind-the-scenes moments, and more in the weekly newsletter:👉 Subscribe here
