Listen "Daniel Harford: How I replaced the adrenaline of running out on the MCG"
Episode Synopsis
Former Hawthorn Hawks champion Daniel Harford, the No. 8 overall pick in the stacked 1994 draft, talks about his dramatic injury-riddled career and successful transition to broadcasting and AFLW coaching. Joining Inside 50’s Nick Quinn and former teammate Shane Crawford, Harford discusses the highs of his 10-season AFL career, which culminated in a close preliminarily final loss to the Essendon Bombers in the 2001 preliminary final. After physical issues cut short Harford’s career, he capitalised as a last-minute replacement on SEN Radio to eventually put together a decades-long career in radio. As the breakfast radio host on RSN, Harford is now one of Melbourne’s most prominent broadcasters. Still, Harford has not lost touch with the game. For the last three seasons he has been the head coach of the Carlton Blues’ AFLW side, and is building that list into a premiership contender for 2021.
