The only way to stop the climate crisis, or at least slow it down, is with organizing. Here in New York, we have a robust climate justice movement. It has been busy of late trying to put New York at the forefront of a Green New Deal. We speak with Jessica Azulay, executive director of the Alliance for a Green Economy. The Alliance’s goal is a prosperous, safe, and healthy New York, fulfilling the promise of conservation, energy efficiency, and safe, clean renewable energy sources to end our state’s reliance on wasteful and environmentally destructive forms of energy.
