In this show, we discuss how young people are targeted by the military and the amazing work that is being done to counter that recruitment. We will hear from Amanda Jordan-Starks about the work of Project YANO based in San Diego and Joanne Sheehan from the War Resisters League. By 2012, 45% of all military members sent to Afghanistan and Iraq had returned with physical and mental disabilities. How can we work for a world, where our young people are not being funneled into the military to be hurt or to cause destruction and harm to others? We must humanize the world so that no one can pull the trigger.
